ExRetriever

A promising research line for word sense disambiguation (WSD) focuses on the use of supervised machine learning techniques. ExRetriever is a new software tool for automatically acquiring large sets of sense tagged examples from large collections of text (e.g. the Web). ExRetriever exploits large-scale knowledge bases (e.g., WordNet) to build complex queries, each of them characterising particular senses of a word. These examples can be used as training instances for supervised WSD algorithms.

MCRQuery is a perl package that contains several functions that are used to access MCR and to get the relations and the information you need, in a similar way WNQuery::Data accesses WordNet. MCRQuery requires DBI module for database acces. It also requeries to have the MCR database installed or to have permission and can access to one installed.

Currently, MCR integrates into the same EuroWordNet framework, five local wordnets (including four versions of the English WordNet from Princeton), the EuroWordNet Top Concept ontology, MultiWordNet Domains, and hundreds of thousand of new semantic relations and properties automatically acquired from corpora. In fact, the resulting {\sc Mcr} is going to constitute the largest and richest multilingual lexical--knowledge ever build.
